Don Bourgeois is a Web Designer and  Software Engineer living in Orange County, California with over forty years of experience in software applications.

Since his formal retirement in 2012, he has been applying his software skills to web design especially server and client side scripting.

Joining North American Rockwell in 1968, Don has worked for Boeing and its predecessor companies. His software applications have been used by electric utilities, and onboard aircraft, ships and missiles for both domestic and international customers.

In his last assignment before retiring from Boeing, Don was the architect of simulation software for the B-1 bomber at Boeing Long Beach, responsible for all technical aspects of the architecture, design, implementation and testing of simulators for both the front and aft cockpits.

pPevious, he originated the concept of a cost effective aircraft simulator based on personal computer hardware. This simulator was used to validate the correctness of the software on board the Czech L159 aircraft.  Don alsoled a team to architect and implement statistical algorithms to verify the accuracy of flight computations in the Australian F-111C and Czech L159 aircraft.

With six years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level, he has a strong desire to teach and mentor students and young engineers to share his knowledge and experience.

Don has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from West Coast University. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
